TRAINING

15 years of performing in musical theatre, straight plays, cabaret, television, self-devised work, group-devised pieces, children’s pantomimes, advertisements, training films, concerts, voice-overs, session singing and as a solo singer/songwriter.

Acting

  • Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama with the Trinity College of London (ATCL)
  • Classes at the Actors Centre, Sydney
  • One week course at NIDA in screen work, with tutors Kerry McGuire and Steve Bisley
  • 10 years of training in speech and drama under the tuition of Emer MacDonagh and Dorothy Dashwood
  • 2 years at Stagecoach Theatre School, Canberra

Singing

  • Studied with Amanda Colliver, Beth Daly, Colin Slater and Pat Davey

Dancing

  • Classes in jazz and tap at Dynamite Dance Studios and The Sydney Dance Company and studied with the Meryl Tankard Company and Human Veins in jazz and movement. Has also studied Latin Dancing at Rio Rythmics.

Nominated at the 2003 Helpmann Awards for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for her performance as Mrs Sowerberry in Oliver!

1999
The Boy From Oz, which Queenie was an original cast member of, won an Aria Award for Best Original Cast Recording a Mo Award for Best Musical Theatre Production and a Helpmann Award for Best Musical.
